Rocky Creek Farm

Cash and I took a road trip to Bozeman the other day to head to the pumpkin patch at Rocky Creek Farm. Mom was watching Ryan that day, so we packed up both boys and headed to the patch! Andrea also met us over with Cece. Little did we know, it was a school holiday of sorts, and every small child in town and their parent had the same idea as us! They have two tractors that pull the hayride down to the pumpkin patch and then you unload and pick out your pumpkin and head back to the main area. Sounds easy....right??
Well, not so easy when one of the tractors breaks down, and everytime we would go to get on the ride, in two seconds flat, it was full already. We were able to see the other sights on the grounds. They had several piglets that were pretty exciting to watch. Although at different times, the boys found chewing on the wood fence much more fun! They also had chickens. Or, as Cash would say "chick chick" and Ryan "CHICK-ON" the two were pretty hilarious. Both boys totally enjoyed swinging. But after what seemed like hours of waiting, and waiting on that tractor to come back around, we settled on buying some fresh squeezed apple cider. You fill up a box of apples and they put them through the apple press while you wait. It was WONDERFUL!!! I must admit that I have drank 3 glasses of it today!!

So we ended up leaving the pumpkin patch sans pumpkins....but Safeway had some huge ones for 5 bucks that I picked up, and will totally do the trick! This will probably be the last year we can go to a patch for a pumpkin and not leave with one, as we were leaving, Cash was yelling "tractor"......I guess he knows more than I give him credit for :)
