Rocky Creek

Oh, Rocky Creek Farm, you hold a piece of my heart.  I think I have even uttered the words "I wish I lived on a farm" while there this last time.

Cash had a 5 day off stint that ends today.  We tried to squeeze in as many things as we could all while just enjoying having no real schedule to follow.
Rocky Creek Farm topped our list of things we needed to do.  Jackee and the kids joined us for pumpkin pickin'.  Even though the pumpkin selection was...crap, we had fun still!

Feeling Fall

We are in full swing with school and a few activities as well this October.  Cash just wrapped up his last soccer game this Sunday.  I am not sure soccer is his bag, but we tried it and he finished out the season.  Spring soccer coincides with baseball so we will probably be taking the baseball route for now.

Cash had his "Fun Run" at school a few weeks ago....He actually ran way more than I thought he would!!

Brandon left for New Jersey :(  He headed off to tech school until January.  The girls and I are always up for a theme party...so it seemed only fitting we throw a "Jersey Shore" bon voyage party for Brando!  I do believe Justin's get-up took the cake!  Wife beater...gold watch...and even shaved his head in Pauly D fashion!

Some fall pics of Clara...she has "cwazy" hair as she says!!

Clara June {3 yrs old}

Oh Clary June...in the blink of an eye, you are 3 years old.  Time flies when you are having fun baby girl and you my sweet thing are fun.

Overflowing with personality these days.  Loving fierce and making us laugh.  Your soft lisp is kinda the cutest thing ever.  The lightest blonde whispy ponytails make me melt.  And a firecracker when messed with.

The dust is settling from the hub bub of Kindergarten and you are settling into the role of only kid at home quite nicely.  Calling it "girl time" during the weekdays and saying that you do not miss him while he is at school.  Truth be told I like our girl time too.  I hear you more.  It's a pretty awesome thing when you realize that you can have a conversation with your kid and we are there.

You are an apple juice LOVER and a huge fan of chicken and rice for dinner.  A new found love of leftovers for breakfast (a trait of Daddy's!) and a fondness for being my "mini chef" while you help make dinners.

I think you are sporty.  A mover and shaker and future dancer...Dance started two weeks ago and you walked right in the class.  Head held high and not a tear or cling to my leg.  I was so proud.  Nana cried.  The oldest and littlest in the class my petite little thing!  You love riding your trike and are soon going to be graduating up to the bike with training wheels.  Eager to go on bike rides after dinner without a complaint about being tired or wanting to go home.

I thought it would be fun to ask a few questions each year to see your opinions change over the years...

Favorite Color: pink and purple
Favorite thing to eat: chicken and rice
What you want to be when you grow up: Mermaid
Favorite T.V. Show: Mickey Mouse

I love you so so so much Clara!  I waited for a little girl for so long.  And the wait was well worth it.

'Kindergarten is AWESOME'

Ready or not, Kindergarten morning came.  We had clothes lying on Cash's dresser the night before.  I picked them out for him, he said he didn't care what he wore.  We ate breakfast and anxiously awaited to walk to school.
He couldn't wait to hop on his Razor and head down the street.  After parking the scooter in the bike rack, we followed the herd of tiny kindergarteners, parents and younger siblings around back to the playground.  Yellow numbers are painted on the perimeter of the basketball courts that coincide with their room numbers.  Finding 108 we plopped down his dinosaur backpack in line and stood around waiting to see what would be next.

Mrs. Powell appeared right before the morning bell rang.  A gathering of nervous kiddos clung by the only familiar face they knew besides their parents.  After telling the parents that she was excited for the school year she let us know that we would tell them good-bye outside and they would head into the classroom.  A hug and a kiss followed by "there's my buddy Kaden, see you later!".  And he was off.  Turned back a few times to wave.  He was brave and so was I.  Not a single tear shed by either one of us.

After giving his yellow popsicle stick to Mrs. Powell, indicating that he spotted his Mom, he walked towards me with a huge smile.  "School is AWESOME" were the first words out of his mouth.  The highlight of the day was eating lunch then putting your lunch bag in the wagon and just walking outside to play "all by myself!".

We are on day 4 and everyday has been awesome and for that I am grateful.
