We have a mini pony!

wrapping up summer

I must admit, I am ready for fall.  I am ready to dress the kids in jeans and not be so hot in the afternoons.  And while that scene is not so far away, we are trying to enjoy what is left of the summer heat.  We headed outsided to play in the house in an attempt to cool off.  Here are the pics from the afternoon a few days ago.

(and yes, I did put her in an orange bow to match his shorts....I'm weird like that!)

Big brother was filling holes and Clara thought she would get in on the action too...

I wish a belly like this would always be so cute!

she took her headband off, then decided she wanted it back on...

...and we're done!

camp-out at Hylite

The kids and I went to Bozeman for a few days while BJ has been in Korea.  We had supper up at Hylite one night with Justin and the boys and Andrea.  Mom and Dad brought the canoe for the boys to ride in, but Cash was a little scared so he didn't get in.  Everyone had a super fun time!

::friends:

As Clara becomes more mobile, I have noticed this relationship between her and Cash blooming.  She wants to be apart of everything he is doing.  He even came up to me yesterday afternoon and asked if Clara could play with him in the toys!  Warms my heart to see the two of them getting along more and more.

{Eleven Months}

Holy Moly, Clara June is almost a one-year-old!!  She is rapidly blooming into this little person, full of personality and tons of spunk!  I am happy (VERY HAPPY) oh-so-happy to report, that she is sleeping through the night!!!  After a nudge, rather a sudden push by BJ (like, blowing up the air matress, and giving me some earplugs to wear) I let her "cry it out" for two stinkin nights, and the girl magically sleeps 12 hrs straight!!!!!  I am a whole new mama!

Clara has become quite the chatterbox in the last month.  A quick list of the things that she is saying....
*mama
*dada
*hi-dad
*hello (with a toy up to her ear like a phone!)
*hi-ya
*more
*all done
*bye-bye
*ball
*ni-night (for her blanket)

She just started growling like a bear and panting like a dog!  Pretty funny!!

Walking may be a month or so away, but she is pulling up to everything, and has figured out how to gracefully sit down so she doesn't get hurt.  Both kids get a bath at the same time and she is so excited when we head in and start running the water.  She plays more and more everyday with Cash (he isn't as excited about this...) and has a way to annoy him like only a little sister can :)  Without any coaxing from me, she has become attached to her blue ni-night.  She still sucks her middle and ring finger on her right hand, and hold the blanket up to smell it.  We have tried to pass Cash's off on her if hers happens to be in the wash, but it is just plain unexceptable to her, as it doesn't smell just like hers!

I have already started planning her 1st Birthday Party and am pretty excited to celebrate this little girl being in our family a whole year already!!

::Yellowstone::

On our way to Yellowstone, we traveled the Beartooth Highway.  There is still snow at the top!!  Some beautiful lakes are scattered along the way, so we stopped a few times to stretch and throw some rocks.

                                                                     What's a trip to Yellowstone without some buffalo?!

BJ needed to stop by Hebgen Dam, so we had a snack break and threw rocks :)
