two point five

My girl is 2 1/2...half way to 3 and she is overflowing with personality these days!
She is quite the spit fire.  I see a very feisty girl brewing.  She is quick to put her brother in his place and doesn't take crap off him.  Yesterday I heard them both yelling and just figured it was Cash being naughty. However, when BJ walked into Cash's room, he found both on the ground and Clara had Cash in a headlock!  Somehow I think she will be able to handle things on her own.

Learning Cash's habits, she talks non-stop.  She is often shy around new people or situations, but around us and familiar faces she is loud and outgoing.

The other day when I took these pictures both kids were out riding in the front yard.  She toppled off her tricycle and the seasoned Mom I am, I waited a minute to see how she would react instead of rushing over.  Much to my surprise, she quickly got up and told me to "pick up my bike, I need to get back riding!".  Cash would have needed a Band-Aid and would have been done with riding for the day.  Amazing how different they are!!

She has zero fear and is more than willing to try new things.  Adventurous and rarely cautious she is always up for a challenge.  I often find myself wishing I was more like her.  But I know in time she will end up pushing me to new limits in all new ways, and for that I am grateful.

While she was staying with my Mom last week, Clara started reciting the ABC's to her and Andrea!  We had no idea that she even knew them!!  Her and Cash often take showers together and he sings the ABC's and when it's over they switch for water time.  Apparently she has learned it from that!! One of the things I can be happy that she has picked up from him...most things are so "educational"!  She knows all her colors and can count to 14 without help.

I love this tiny ball of fury (as BJ said she is!) and I honestly can't imagine my life without her.  I think I watch more carefully and enjoy the new things she learns and does more with her.  The baby of the family sure has its perks!
