Sweet Pea Weekend

It was time once again for the Sweet Pea Festival. Aunt Tina and Amanda make the trip over from Washington every year for a long weekend packed with shopping, coffee, and treats :) The kick off to Sweet Pea is the parade down Main Street. The parade starts with a Childrens Run. It is always so fun to watch the kiddos running trying to get ahead of the kid in front of them. There are always a few balling while there parents coax them down to the finish line. This year was Cash's first year in the Childrens Run! Ok, well he didn't actually run, but there are entries for strollers, so the plan was for him to "stroll". Let me preface this with the fact that on a general basis, Cash loves his strollers. He is a total people watcher, and really likes being outside checking everyone out. So....we dropped Andrea, Amanda, and Cash off at the starting point of the parade and Mom, Aunt Tina, and I headed down to the end of the Main Street where the run would end. We all waited in anticipation for the girls and Cash to come strolling by....well...what showed up was a little different than we expected. Apparently just before the race started, Cash had a meltdown and refused to be in his stroller. So Andrea pushed the empty stroller, while Amanda CARRIED Cash for the mile long race. As they passed by us, you could tell by the smile on his face that he knew he had totally buffaloed the two of them! Pretty funny. Next year, I am sure we will be running after him trying to chase him down. So here are the pics from the run.
