*Lunch on the Lawn*

Signs that summertime is nearing an end are all around. I feel like we actually just got summer in Montana! Guess we can just hope for a nice fall that last a while longer since we seemed to have gotten the short end of the stick on warm weather. This past Wednesday was the last lunch on the lawn in Bozeman. We packed up our lunches, umbrella and blanket and headed out to soak up some sun and live music. Ryan and Cash had a ball running around the lawn playing together in between bites of lunch.

new bike

Cashy got a new bike a few weeks ago. We had bought him a bike for Christmas, rather Santa brought him a bike. And it will just be forever before he can reach the pedals. So after a week of him wanting me to push him around on the darn thing, we decided that a bike that was the right size was in order. Behold the Rock-It! He can reach the pedals perfectly and needs a little practice with getting the pedals going, I think this bike is a much better choice.

..chalking it up with grandpa...

Cash decided that he was going to color on the sidewalk....and then instructed Grandpa to color him a Jeep. A blue Jeep to be exact. Then told him to draw Mom in the front with him, and Daddy in the backseat!!! HA!

{sweet pea}

It was time again for the annual Sweet Pea weekend. Aunt Tina and Amanda made it into town late Friday night and the festivities began with the Childrens Run Saturday morning. Cash was pretty pumped to RUN in the race this year. The girls were instructed to wear running shoes, because I was convinced that he was going to actually run this year. Cash had been "practicing" for a few weeks by running laps around the couch. He was pretty excited, until the actual running began!! When he finally reached us, he was mad looking and told me that he was "too tired to run"....there is always next year!

He did, however, get real into the parade!! I made treat bags for him and Aunt Tina. He caught on real quick that there was lots of candy to grab and after a few minutes set his bag out in the street to make his loot grabbing that much easier. By the end of the parade, he was running at it with kids much older than him. He is becoming quite bold lately :)

...Raspberry Picking...

The last time Cash and I were in Bozeman for a doctor appt. we headed out to Rocky Creek Farm with Nana and Aunt An for some raspberry picking.

This is the same farm that we go to in the fall and head out to the pumpkin patch. I guess they used to have the strawberry/raspberry picking years ago, and they just started doing it again this summer. It's sooo adorable!!!!

And even though Cash wouldn't eat any raspberries, he kept saying the whole time "I love raspberry picking"...it WAS pretty fun.

Fishing at Georgetown Lake

We drove up to Georgetown Lake yesterday afternoon. A picnic lunch of PB&J with some worms for fishing was recipe for a good time. Cash has been wanting to go fishing for some time now, ever since Grandpa Hugh gave him a fishing pole a few months ago. He kept telling me that he was going to catch a monster fish so it could scare me. Such an imagination!!! Unfortunately, no monster fish, or any fish for that matter was caught, but we still had a nice time. It's getting harder and harder for me to do things, but relaxing under a big pine tree watching my boys fish was the perfect Sunday afternoon activity :)
